Mid May to Mid June is prime weed line walleye time. Mid June to early July can be good as well. Fall jigging also recommended. Trips offered May, June and late September (October weather dependent).
When to fish Lake Erie
Lots of Walleyes and Bonus Trout
Lake Erie has multiple year classes of walleyes that offer both quality and quantity. For the next few years expect the walleye fishing to be exceptional. We also encounter occasional steelhead and lake trout by the way that we troll with speed and lures. With deep water off Dunkirk, we have great Lake Trout fishing. A mixed bag of walleye and silver fish is quite common. We fish from early June to Mid-September. Stable weather is key- July and August generally have lighter winds Wind is the biggest factor in allowing us to get out and fish.
